Stor-Mor Portable Buildings started in Mayfield, Kentucky with the intention of providing quality storage buildings to customers at affordable prices. Between our selection of qualified manufacturing shops and our array of finance options, we have done just that!
What began in Western Kentucky has now spread to nearly a dozen states with over 100 storefronts to best serve our customers. Our builders are adequately trained and qualified. Our drivers are incredibly precise and capable. Our dealers are insightful and energetic. Our Corporate team is formed of experienced and professional personnel who are willing to assist at all stages of the process.
Delivery drivers are contracted out, however, all contracted delivery drivers for Stor-Mor Portable Buildings maintain an industry-leading, Stor-Mor standard.
Weather permitting, off-lot sales will be delivered within 5 to 10 business days, and delivery times for custom shop builds may vary dependent on lead times. You should receive a phone call 24 to 48 hours prior to delivery, if you don't answer, a message will be left. Please return the call within 24 hours to ensure timely delivery. If no call is returned, your building will be re-scheduled for delivery and may take additional time, as we have many customers waiting and scheduled for delivery. Our drivers are professional delivery men, but they do not prepare the property during installation. Please ensure your property is cleared of all debris, trees, tree limbs, overhead wires, fences, and gates. Gates should be at least 2 feet wider than the building.
If your property isn't properly prepared prior to your scheduled delivery, your delivery may need to be rescheduled and additional delivery charges may be applied.
Our delivery drivers only take about 30 to 90 minutes for the average delivery and installation, however, some special cases may take longer than 90 minutes or require more than one delivery driver and therefore would incur an additional installation charge.
Our trusted drivers are able to collect the remaining balance on full-purchase orders. The most efficient way to pay at delivery is with a personal check.
Delivery drivers are trained and have the equipment needed to level your building. A concrete pad is preferred, packed gravel is a popular choice and blocks are a common choice for our customers, however, all foundation types should be prepared prior to the delivery of the building. Please refer to your local dealer for recommended blocks and anchors for your building to maintain the warranty and meet the wind rating.
At the end of your delivery, your driver will have a basic delivery checklist for you to sign, we call this the happy sheet because it insures the building is delivered and installed to your liking.

Our 3D builder is an interactive tool that allows you to create your own custom portable building. With this tool, you can select from a variety of size, style, layout, and color options to design a building that is uniquely yours. Once you have completed the design you can submit it to us for a quote!
With our rent-to-own program with Heartland Capital Investments, everyone is approved, no credit check required. You can choose from our wide variety of sizes and styles we have in stock, or we will personally help you design and custom build the perfect shed for your property.
Our easy monthly payments give you the opportunity to own your shed, without breaking the bank. Plus, you only have to pay the first month down on any of our Stor-Mor Portable Buildings under $15,000… whether you buy it off the lot or have it custom built!
If you're looking to own your shed even sooner, we also offer a 90 days same as cash option. And if you decide to pay off your shed early, there are no penalties or hidden fees.
What are my options for making monthly payment?
We have 4 ways to make your monthly rental payment:
• Online through the Payment Portal
• By phone at 270-247-3199
• By mail to: PO BOX 409, Mayfield, KY 40290-1027 (Please include your account number)
• Submit payments directly from your financial institution through Bill Pay
If you do not have your account number and would like to pay by phone or online, an account
manager will provide your account number.
Can I purchase the storage building after I have entered a Rental Purchase Agreement with
Heartland Capital?
You can pay off your purchase at any time with no penalties. Heartland Capital applies a discount
to your rental agreement based on the term of your agreement and the number of payments you
have made. Please call 270-247-3199 for payoff balances.
Can I pay extra each month toward principal?
Rent to Own is a monthly rental agreement not an installment loan, so there is no principal.
Instead, any amount you pay in excess of the monthly payment is held in a pre-paid rent account
and applied to the early payoff amount. Should your account become delinquent, the funds held
in the pre-paid rent account will be applied toward your payment.
What if something happens and I can no longer pay for my storage building?
Your Rent to Own payments are a month-to-month Rental Purchase Agreement. You can
terminate at any time. Just call us at 270-247-3199 , and the unit will be scheduled for pickup.
Do you report to credit agencies?
Since your rental purchase agreement is on a month-to-month basis, we do not report payment
information to credit agencies. Credit reports are not requested or reviewed to determine
eligibility.
However, if your account is delinquent and you have not made payment arrangements, your
account may be turned over to a third party collection agency as a last resort. This could
adversely affect your credit. If you are struggling to make the payment, Heartland is here to help.
We strongly believe in providing you a route to ownership for your unit, please contact us to discuss
your options.
Why purchase a liability damage waiver?
As part of your rental agreement, you are responsible for completing your rental contract even if
the building is damaged or destroyed. For example, a tree falls on the unit, or it is damaged by a
storm, the liability damage waiver (LDW) will cover the remaining amount owed on the unit or will
cover the cost of repair on the unit. LDW does not replace the building. You would not own your
home or a car without protection, so why do so with your storage building? This is a great way to
get the protection you need with no deductible.
